LGPS CENTRAL LIMTIED

Microsoft Teams Rooms

LGPS Central asked us to deliver the full audio visual fit-out for their move to the i10 building in Wolverhampton. That meant Microsoft Teams Rooms, a divisible meeting space, a 16-person boardroom, building-wide signage and TV distribution.

The Project

A new office, built around how the team meets

LGPS Central manages pension investments on behalf of Local Government Pension Scheme funds. Their relocation to the i10 building gave them a blank floor plate and a chance to rethink every space, from quick one-person calls to all-hands sessions.

We designed the full scheme from the floor plans and delivered it as one joined-up system, covering everything from one-person hot-seat rooms to the divisible meeting suite, with signage, TV and door entry tied in across the building.

The 8-person boardroom runs a Yealink MVC S50 Teams Room on Windows. The MeetingBar A50's triple 50MP camera system auto-frames and speaker-tracks across the full length of the table, and supports Multi-Stream IntelliFrame so remote attendees see everyone clearly.

A 75" Sony Bravia Professional display puts the far end at a natural size. Meetings start with one touch from the table console, and content can be shared wirelessly with the PA20 pod or wired over HDMI or USB-C.

One Room or two at the touch of a button

The largest space on the floor splits into a 16-seat and a 12-seat room. Each side has its own dual-camera Microsoft Teams Room, a Yealink MVC S98 in the larger room and an MVC S90 in the smaller one, so every seat is in shot whichever way the space is set up.

A new Crestron CP4N drives a custom HTML5 interface on the Teams touch panels to open and close the room. When it's open, every camera, microphone and speaker links to the master Teams system for one seamless space. Sennheiser SpeechLine handheld and lectern microphones work in Teams calls and for voice lift throughout the room if required.

Signage & TV Distribution

Sixteen Sony displays cover the open-plan floor, kitchen and reception, with ceiling-hung screens running the length of the office. Each signage screen has its own player for corporate content, and a Blustream receiver for live TV.

Five Freeview sources feed a Blustream IP50 AV over IP network with 19 receivers across the building. LGPS IT route any channel to any screen from an interactive map in a custom central management portal. With no per-screen TV licences, there are no annual running costs for the TV system.

Breakout & access

The two breakout areas double as informal presentation spaces. A Barco ClickShare C-10 puts content on screen with one click of the button.

At both entry points onto the floor, Paxton Net2 Entry video intercoms with built-in proximity readers let staff swipe in and visitors call reception. Doors can be released from the reception handset or from a tablet running the Paxton Entry app, so the front desk doesn't need to be staffed all day.
